Maid of Honor
My youngest sister. I remember in 1st grade Tia picking me up from school so we could see her at the hospital soon after she was born. I hoped for a baby brother then, but now, I couldn't ever imagine this life without her.
Bridesmaid
We instantly became best friends when she moved to Rockford in 7th grade. We've always had the most fun passing notes between classes and have had some crazy fun and wild times together growing up since 💗
Bridesmaid
First a coworker then really good friends- she made working as a lead pharmacy technician at CVS in East Grand Rapids worth all the while. I wouldn’t have worked there for as long as I did if hadn’t been for her 😘
Bridesmaid
The photo captures it all 😂 This pic of us was taken the first night we were introduced to each other by our mutual friend, Casey Cook, at a Snails concert we all went to at the Intersection. She's my Lake Michigan gypsy queen and dog mom companion.
Bridesmaid
Our French soon to be sister-in-law and we couldn't be happier to have her as apart of our family!! ❤️ An experienced world traveler, Halsey, dog and cat lover. She's a smart, independent and real gem of a woman
Bridesmaid
Michael’s gorgeous younger brown beauty of a sister. Can not wait for her to soon be my sister!!! Brown curls, always smiling and so much freakin fun. You cannot not notice her when she enters a room.
Bridesmaid
We have a lot in common (besides the obvious). Kristen is a strong willed and wise woman. And if I didn't mention, a great mom.
Bridesmaid
Exactly how she shows up in my contact list on my phone. She is hands down the coolest person that I’ve ever come to know in such a short period of time. We’ve even already traveled to Australia together! I'll never forget the night we met- it was the same night that my sister (Sarah) and I went out to Founders (her dressed in my super soft cheetah Victoria's Secret Robe) about 3 years ago, to have a few beers and enjoy one of their small concerts. The next morning my sister and I were driving her to the GR Airport at 5am so she could catch a flight to D.C. She's just one of those people that I can always count on for a lending ear or a really fun time.
Best Man
Best man pretty much sums it up. There's not another person around who knows me better (cept maybe Caitlin 😉). He's always been more than a brother and more than a best friend. There's a relationship in there that can never be fully described.
Groomsman
My younger brother if you can believe it (apparently nobody ever does). Brad and I terrorized him when we were children but always considered it making him stronger. We pretty much take credit for who he is and all of his success in life at this point. The smartest of all of us to be sure, opinionated, perfectionist to the core, and someone you can always count on when things get rough.
Groomsman
I met Todd in College while studying Film and working towards my Bachelors Degree. We sat near each other in a film class and ended up working on a project together and became fast friends. He's always been someone I could lean on and we've had too many great nights out to count.
Groomsman
Brad and Nick were friends long before I ever came a long but after High School we all lived together in a tiny house and became a unit. It's where the breakdancing was born and friendships stamped forever in time. Nick is probably one of the hardest working people I have ever met, his passion for his friends and his craft know no bounds and is a true inspiration.
Groomsman
Jonny. Jon and I weren't even friends in High School. It wasn't till after we graduated that we realized we shared so much in common. I could never get him to stop smoking, he let me drive his trans-am once, and we've been on so many "roadtrips" I've lost count of them. Jon is a fiercely loyal friend and a pro coder (the nerd never left him). Not often do we meet people we call our Best Friends, but Jon is one of those people, he'll never let you down.
Groomsman
Jack is one of the Dopest kids around. Always down for helpin out and is pretty good at fixin bikes if yours is broken (don't let him touch your brakes on your car tho). I met Jack through Caitlin's sister Jackie. Jack and Jackie. Quickly becoming a skilled bartender Jack is a committed person who excels at making people laugh and is an okay rockclimber 😜
Groomsman
I've known Jon my entire life. Our family's camped and traveled together growing up and we always hung with the Goei's. If you need someone true of heart, brimming over the edge with character, and honest to a fault look no further than Jonathan. He's the kind of person I know I could count on through anything, even a Zombie Apocalypse if it ever happened.
Ring Bearer
Ring security! He’s a perfect fit for the role 😏
Flower Girl
Blonde haired blue eyed beauty 😍 She’s Caitlin's third cousin on her moms side of the family. She may be small, but she's full of spunk and personality! A true derivative of the Starr-Powell bloodline (;
Wedding Photographer
Kelsey was recommended by a friend of a friend and we instantly fell in love! We met for the first time at Ferris Coffee; she's adventurous and talented. She even agreed to meet us in Vegas to document some pics of our Bachelor and Bachelorette party extravaganza! Her and her husband go into Donkey Taqueria all the time- that was before they moved to Arizona. But no worries, because she'll be back in Michigan for the summer to shoot our wedding(: I highly recommend this chick, she's awesome.
Officiant
She’s been like a second mother and friend to me (Caitlin) since I was about 11. Her son, Casey Cook, was known for a long time as my first boyfriend (by my dad) but we were always just really good friends. No matter what paths we take and for how long apart, they always feel like family/home to me so this is incredibly special that she is our Officiant.
DJ
Drew was referred to us by Mike’s dad who worked with Drew before Wayne retired.
Our Misstresses of Ceremony
Mike’s eldest sisters. Each make our family world go 'round with their positivity, creativity, adventure, love, support and happiness. We couldn’t imagine such a beautiful world without them.
Mother of the Bride
Attorney at Golden & Jernigan P.C. and is apart of the Bethany Christian Services as a foster care provider/parent. Philipp is her German boyfriend going on about 7-8 years now. Speaks fluent Spanish and went to college at U of M. She’s a badass feminist. That’s my mom.
Father of the Bride
He taught me how to ride a bike, shoot a rifle, throw a football, kick a soccer ball and many other really invaluable things in life. Loves adventure, kids, animals and was a high school and middle school science teacher for nearly 2 decades. He’s now a behavioral correction technician helping kids and others in the community with coping skills/learning disabilities.
Mother of the Groom
My mama! She's always been strong and capable. Raising seven children barely slowed her down. She's crafty, knows her plants, and has a eye for style. She raised me tough and taught me to be humble and the worth of the world. She's got a laugh that will fill the room and spread like wildfire, and I love that she says, "good grief!" it's one of my favorites.
Father of the Groom
Superman, as we've always called him. My dad and I have a bond like no other. We talk almost every other day and know each others lives inside and out. I like BlackJack, he likes Craps, so we are natural buddies. We've helped each other through some of the most challenging times and it never ceases to amaze me how much he cares for me.
Bride
Mike and I fell in love over our passion to travel and to try new things. We are loving every second of the remodeling process and launching a rental property business with each other- So many big things have happened for us over the past 3 years since we've met and I wouldn’t have it any other way 🙏🏻
Groom
No one ever really likes talking about themselves, but I do. I'll always tell you what I think (even if you don't want to hear it) and am stubborn as they come. I love to laugh and you'll probably never catch me in a bad mood. I consider myself an experienced and knowledgeable person; I've worked almost every kind of job out there and have always done my best to apply one to the next. Cait and I have been working together since the very beginning, doing our best to better each other and ourselves all at the same time. I don't know where I would be without her. We've already done so much and we've only just started.
