May 1st 2026 -- I know it feels soon and we want all of you there but we will close RSVPs on this date.
YES! The biggest one is their alcohol policy. Alcohol is permitted but it *MUST* be in a non alcoholic cup. If you are in the lodge / on the lodge deck, there is no issue with alcoholic beverages. *Obvious* alcohol is just not permitted on the main grounds (ie walking around, playing lawn games). All coolers need to remain in cabins as well and we can walk to and from our cabin/camping spots for beverages during the Welcome Party and hanging out times outside the ceremony/reception. Alcohol (and cups) will be provided for day of Wedding (cocktail hour, reception). Essentially, please use as much "discretion" when consuming alcohol as possible -- cups encouraged! We thank you for your understanding!! We'll have some cups available to for those that forgot or didn't bring their own :)
BRING YOUR OWN CUP and a mood ready to groove. Cups will be useful for all the beverages but especially when drinking alcohol on the main grounds as "obvious" alcohol containers are not permitted :)
This is a minimal-waste wedding! I am very passionate about this event being as eco-friendly as possible and given the amount of waste weddings produce, we have set this up to help curb some of that as much and best we can. Please be mindful of composting zones and put all food and compostable waste in those designated bins! We have limited staff so much of the clean up will be done by the bride and groom + close friends and family so any and all help is appreciated!
That's okay! Just call the Ranch at 719-395-2353. Bookings are disabled online through March 2026 for wedding guests *only* for the dates of 6/30-7/2. After March, they'll be available to the public so please secure a cabin or lodge prior if you wish to be on-site. We also get a 10% discount to guests!
Nope!
Just let the bride and groom know! There are plenty of ground camping/car camping options and very limited (less than 5) RV-size camping options available. The bride and groom have taken care of the camping so there is no cost! Just let us know if you plan to camp is all.
The venue is very kid friendly so if you plan on coming for a few nights to Deer Valley, then by all means bring them! We just request that no kids are at the ceremony or the reception. If you are curious about a sitter/nanny for that time period, let us know and we'll try and find some help while we tie the knot + boogie!
If you have a +1 on your invite, of course! Feel free to reach out to the bride and groom if your situation needs some attention, we're happy to accommodate as best we can (and as last minute as we can).
There are accommodations (lodge rooms and cabins) and camping available at Deer Valley Ranch. Bookings will be limited for these so please be sure to book early if you want to stay on site and stay with us! Camping should be plentiful and available but you need to just let the Bride and Groom know if you plan to car camp/ground camp. Additional lodging options (see also Travel section): We are also quite close to Mt. Princeton Resort (lovely hot springs) and there are plenty of Air BNBs + VRBOs nearby (Nathrop, CO). You can also find loads of lodging options in Buena Vista (20 minutes drive) or Salida (30 minutes) drive from Deer Valley Ranch.
As of right now, if you plan to stay off-site in Buena Vista, Salida or at an AirBnb/VRBO we do *not* have transportation provided. Your best bet would be to drive to and from for both the Welcome BBQ and ceremony+reception. Please keep in mind that these are windy, bumpy, and not well lit at night.
The ceremony will definitely be outdoors (rain or shine or smoke filled air) so please bring appropriate layers and covers for both rain and blazing sun. The cocktail hour, dinner, and reception are currently planned to take place in the Lodge and on the deck. It's Colorado so we'll see what happens!
Your presence is enough but if you feel inclined to give a gift, we have a honey moon or home fund.
At least 15 minutes prior to ceremony start!
Yes! There will be parking in the 'overflow lot' at the venue. We will try to provide as much direction/signage as possible to make it easy for everyone driving to navigate to the designated parking area.
