Michael and I started talking online on 10/2/22. I had a prompt that stated “I bet you can’t beat me on the range” with a picture of me shooting an AK-47. He matched with me and said that he could beat me. I found it incredibly adorable given what I do but I liked that he wanted to challenge me. We continued to talk and agreed to meet for a dinner date on 10/8/22. We bonded over our shared love for Mexican food and talked as if we had known each other for years.

On a trip to Roanoke on 7/13/23, we visited the bridge where I had told Michael that I loved him. He pulled out his phone and showed me videos of him playing with Rosco (my very anti-social German Shepherd). He asked if I remembered these videos. I thought back to the only time we had visited Roanoke, back in December, and I knew for a fact that he never played with Rosco, since I wasn’t sure if Rosco would like him. He played a couple more videos and I looked at the time stamp that reflected April. I looked up and that’s when he said he had asked my dad for my hand and that he had also received Rosco’s approval. He then dropped to one knee and asked me to marry him. It was the easiest yes I have ever given. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in Pennsylvania!
