We met in 2015 on a dating app....yes a dating app! It's still embarrassing telling people that, but clearly Tinder knew what it was doing when it matched us up. Michael was enjoying the country life while I was enjoying the city scene as I had just moved from Kansas out to Oklahoma City. One day while swiping through Tinder I swiped right and matched up with this handsome bearded man. I'd say that's where our journey began, but after deleting Tinder, adding it again, matching back up, him explaining who he was for the second time (because I had a terrible memory), our story finally began. Michael traded living alone in the country for living with this wild, outspoken, stubborn city girl. I traded my heels and the night life for coveralls and nature. Over the years we have grown as individuals and as a couple. We're more connected and more in love than we've ever been. We can't wait for the next part of our adventure when we become husband and wife!

Michael doesn't pick out anything for me that he knows I'll be wearing, so he wasn't about to pick out a ring that I would have to wear every day for the rest of my life. Instead he borrowed a ring from his mom to use for the time being. As most of you know Coco (our baby goat) is a huge part of our lives. I think Michael always knew that he wanted to incorporate her into the proposal and that's exactly what he did. It was a typical Thursday day and as I drove up the driveway after work I could see Michael sweeping the carport. This was nothing unusual, but he had Coco out with him and that was definitely unusual. As I pulled into the garage I could see him coming up the drivers side of my car. I opened my door and started getting out when I could see Coco coming around the front of my car and straight to me. Of course I totally ignore Michael so I could love on my fur child. As she got closer though I saw a ring taped to her horn. I was partially confused, but at the same time knew what was happening. I turned around to Michael on one knee asking me to spend the rest of my life with him. The next day I took off work and we went and picked my ring out together. It was the perfect proposal and I can't stop staring at my ring!

We had everything planned and booked for October 2020, but little did we know that 2020 would be a year full of surprises. Not only did Covid hit and create complete chaos, but we found out we were expecting our little bundle of joy in September....just a few weeks before the wedding. Thankfully the venue and vendors were understanding and were able to get things moved around for us. Koen Michael Behenna has now become our entire world and we can't imagine life without him. He might have changed our plans for 2020, but it was 100% worth it.
