Welcome to our wedding website! We're excited to share our journey with you and explain why we've decided to host a reception to celebrate our love. Originally, we had planned to get married with a full ceremony and reception. However, life had other plans for us. In April 2023, Michael's sister, Jenni, unexpectedly fell ill and was placed under hospice care. Having lost their mother when they were very young, Jenni explained that one of the hardest things she had to do was to get married without their mother present, and she hated that Michael would have to do the same without both his mom and sister. In just three days, our family pulled together and organized an entire wedding ceremony in his aunt's living room—the place where Jenni was put into hospice care. Jenni was able to watch the entire ceremony, holding a bouquet of flowers and accompanied with a huge smile the entire time. Sadly, only three days later, Jenni passed away, but we are forever grateful for the memory of her being present on our wedding day. Now, over a year after our legal marriage, and despite our gratitude for having had this ceremony, we feel that it’s time to celebrate the love that brought us together with all of our family and friends present. We want our reception to be a joyful celebration of love and life, creating new memories with the people that matter most to us.
