We met at 12Stone Church’s Buford campus, where Audrey had started a small group for people in their mid-20s to 30s. Michael came to group for the first time on March 3rd. As the leader, Audrey would check in with everyone, but Michael was the one who consistently responded, and before long the two of them were texting regularly. Everything changed after a small group bonfire on May 24th. What started as a casual conversation around the fire turned into a five-hour heart-to-heart that lasted until 5 a.m. From that night on, it was clear God was writing a story neither of them expected. Their first date was on May 27th at Texas Roadhouse, one of the few restaurants Audrey could eat at. After realizing the mall closed at 8 pm, they ended up wandering around Target instead. Laughing about the mysteriously hot aisle, they somehow kept ending up in. Since then, it’s been a journey filled with deep conversations, lots of laughter, and fun adventures as they’ve grown together in faith. On March 7th, Michael proposed with a sweet promposal-style setup, and Audrey said yes! They can’t wait to celebrate becoming one on October 10th.
