Hotel
We have reserved a room block for our guests at The Gualala Country Inn, only an 11 minute drive from the reception. Rooms are equipped with a coffee maker, microwave, and mini fridge for your convenience. While the inn does not serve food on-site, Gualala is a charming little coastal town with a bakery, café, and grocery store all nearby, perfect for grabbing breakfast or snacks. Booking your room: Call Emily at (707) 884-4343 and mention you're with our wedding party. The room block is held for September 16–20, and you're welcome to book only the nights you need. No need to stay the full duration. If you prefer, you are also welcome to arrange your own accommodations at another hotel or Airbnb in the area.

Getting There The two closest airports are San Francisco International Airport (SFO) and Oakland International Airport (OAK). Both are great options, and both have rental car centers on-site, making it easy to pick up a car right after you land. Renting a Car A rental car is the best way to get to Gualala and get around during your stay, as there is no public transit to the area. We strongly recommend booking your rental in advance, especially around a September weekend, to make sure you get the vehicle you want. Major agencies at both airports include Alamo, Avis, Budget, Enterprise, Hertz, and National. At SFO, you'll need to take the free AirTrain (Blue Line) from your terminal to the Rental Car Center Inside Guide to San Francisco Tourism before picking up your car. At Oakland, rental car shuttles run between the terminals and the Rental Car Center every 10 minutes or less, 24/7. Oakland Airport One heads-up: if you're driving across the Golden Gate Bridge or Bay Bridge, be prepared to pay a toll. Some rental agencies offer toll pass plans, or you can pay through FasTrak. KAYAK It's worth asking about this at pickup. The Drive From either airport, Gualala is approximately a 3-hour drive north. The last stretch of highway is dark and winding, so we strongly recommend planning your arrival during daylight hours. It makes for a much more comfortable and scenic drive! For those of you making stops in other cities in the days before the wedding, just keep the drive time in mind when planning your route.
