Travel Note
We highly recommend Airbnb for your DC stay! Hotels are great, but tend to be on the pricier side in DC. People in DC rent out basement or loft apartments for really affordable prices all across the city. We chose our venue because it is within a short walking distance from any of the metro lines (Red, Yellow, and Green are closest, but Orange, Blue, and Silver are also very close). It's in the center of Penn Quarter, so anywhere you stay within DC or the cities across the border will be an easy metro, taxi, uber/lyft, or walk away.
Travel Note
There are three airports in the DC area: Ronald Reagan National Airport (DCA), Dulles International (IAD), and Baltimore/Washington International (BWI). If you have a choice, CHOOSE DCA! It's the closest and easiest for getting into the city. The Yellow, Orange. and Blue metro lines all stop there, and it's a very short car ride to anywhere. IAD or BWI will require a long, and possibly expensive, car ride into the city and/or a long series of bus/train combo rides. Keep this additional cost in mind when booking!
