Amy and Michael first crossed paths in August 2024 at the Italian Club — Umkomaas, brought together by a UMPAC rehearsal meeting and a shared love of theatre. At the time, they were simply cast mates — friendly, familiar faces in rehearsals. But then came a karaoke night out for a cast member’s birthday, and somewhere between the music and the laughter, Amy had a sudden thought: “Well… who is this?” By their third date, Amy knew it was meant to be. Their a first kiss at TC Robertson that made everything click. Adventures followed, as did countless laughs and memories, and just over a year later Michael returned to that very spot, got down on one knee, and asked the question. Amy didn’t hesitate — it was the easiest 'yes' of her life.
