We are getting married!

Just like any true Philly love story, we met at a bar. Alyssa had been living in South Philly for less than 2 months with long time friend, and now bridesmaid, Shannon Tobin. What was supposed to be a girls night out, turned into Shannon running into a group of guys she was friends with from Gettysburg College at a bar. Shannon introduced Alyssa to the group, but Michael immediately stuck out. Alyssa learned that Michael had just moved to Manayunk that week. After spending the evening getting to know each other, it was evident that there was something special there. They made plans to see each other the next day, and the day after that... and well the rest is history!

Alyssa wanted to go to Florida for Michael's birthday, so they went and visited Michael's grandparents in West Palm Beach for a few days and then were planning on spending a few days in Fort Lauderdale. On a Sunday evening, they were still in Palm Beach with "Palm Beach Pete” and Gerry (Pop-Pop and Grandma Schneiders) and they were all supposed to be going to dinner at the Jupiter Resort & Spa. Everyone got ready as usual, but apparently Palm Beach Pete had a call he needed to take, so he sent Michael and Alyssa off to the hotel early. Upon arrival at the hotel, Michael told Alyssa he wanted to show her something outside, and in that moment she knew. He walked her over to a private spot overlooking the ocean and popped the question! Michael had an evening planned with a private dinner and stay at the resort! It was the most magical trip AND Alyssa was surprised, which is nearly impossible to do!
