Both hometown residents of Augusta, Georgia, Alyece and Michael lived not too far away from one another all their lives. After meeting through mutual friends, they started dating on June 19th, 2011. Due to them both being in college in separate cities, they found themselves in a long distance relationship for a small portion of their college years. After attending Augusta State University for two years, Alyece decided to transfer to attend college with Michael at Kennesaw State University. After undergrad, when Michael accepted an offer from Stonybrook University in New York for his Masters, they had to revisit the long distance relationship once more. Although Alyece was in Kennesaw and Michael in New York, the two kept their love alive and growing for the two years that distance kept them apart. In the summer of 2017, Alyece made the move to New York to be with Michael and begin their life together again. On December 10th, 2017, the big day happened! After a magical day in New York City, perusing Christmas markets and eating delicious sushi, they decided to go see the big Christmas tree at Rockefeller Center. During a beautiful light show reflecting off the tall, city walls, the proposal was made! Now they look forward to the next chapter in life - marriage! Alyece & Michael are so excited and ready to celebrate with you all!
