Ally was working as a receptionist at a print shop in Salt Lake City, Michael came in to pick up an order for his company. He casually struck up conversation with her while he was waiting for someone to bring his order to the front, and she was disappointed when he left without asking her out. 5 minutes after he left, the phone at the front desk rang. Sure enough it was Michael, asking Ally out for a cup of coffee. They exchanged numbers and had their first date 2 weeks later!

We took a quick weekend trip to Pennsylvania to visit Michael's grandmother. There are these beautiful gardens which are famous in Pennsylvania called Longwood Gardens. We were there to spend the day and see a fireworks show. We had been exploring the gardens and ended up out in these beautiful meadows, it was so quiet and peaceful that there were rabbits hopping across the entire trail. It was here that Michael got down on one knee and popped the question with his grandmother's ring.
