The famous hot springs dating back to 1761 which were the impetus for the creation of the Homestead resort. Reservations required, but not restricted to guests of the Omni Homestead.

Shenandoah National Park
For those without a national parks pass, the Blue Ridge Parkway is the other half of Skyline Drive which is equally beautiful and available for free.
Monticello
For those flying in or out of Charlottesville airport, Monticello and the University of Virginia are Charlottesville's most popular tourist attractions. Plus, as a double-Hoo and triple-Hoo, we are obligated to advertise them!
Virginia Museum of Fine Arts
For those flying in or out of the Richmond airport, the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts is an amazing museum that punches way above its weight class. Better yet, it's free! We went on many a date here during our poor medical student days.
Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History
For those flying in or out of Dulles International Airport, we highly recommend a stop at one of the Smithsonian museums. We spent a day at the Smithsonians on our first day trip together!
