Maid of Honor
How she met the bride: Oh lord...here we go. I found Alexis crying in the doorway of Mr.Nysse's room after being broken up with. We exchanged numbers that day and I texted later asking if I could do anything to help. No idea why. We weren't that close. But when Alexis jokingly said "chocolate would be nice," I said "bet," and went and bought $30 worth of chocolate (oreos, chocolate bar, dove promises, ice cream, etc). Since then, we've been inseparable. Favorite memory with the bride: My favorite memory with Alexis is going to Meijer at 2AM to find my brother a switch. We had ulterior motives, however. My brother was off at college and was going to let me use his switch until he came home to get it and my goodness we wanted to play BOTW. We obviously also had to get slushies.

How she met the bride: Favorite memory with the bride: going to Disney for the first time together :) Also, every homecoming, football game, bonfire, and birthday. Basically, my entire childhood.

How she met the bride: Alexis and I met in the 6th grade at school. Favorite memory with the bride: My favorite memories of us together has to be our high school days when I was over at Alexis’ house multiple times a week. The campfires, sleepovers in the basement living room and all the laughs we shared together. I also really enjoyed hiking with Alexis and Michael when my boyfriend and I visited them in Oregon last year!

How they met the bride: I met my twin in high school but we became best friends in college, and roommates after college. Favorite memory with the bride: She has been there for so many parts of my life that picking a favorite memory is hard, but I would have to go with one of the vacations to Eagle River with her family. Hiking with the pups, spending time on the lake, and playing games around the dinner table will always remind me of Alexis' laugh, her kindness, and how lucky I am to know her ❤️

How she met the bride: Alexis and I met while working at a veterinary clinic that shall remain nameless and bonded over being the only two employees who seemed to be at all distressed about the abhorrent medical practices. Favorite memory with the bride: My favorite memory with Alexis is hiking one of the mountain trails near the coast of Oregon. It was drizzling and misty and gave the forest a really lush magical vibe, and the conversation was really good (like it always is 😊).

How she met the bride: I met Alexis when I was a baby vet at West Eugene Animal Hospital. She was (is) a phenomenal veterinary technician - technically skilled, knowledgeable, a delight to be around and profoundly compassionate for the pets and their owners. Favorite memory with the bride: Alexis and I bonded over being newcomers to the PNW together, and my time in Eugene has been richer for knowing her! Many hikes, trivia, game nights, hot springs and river paddling adventures later, I could not feel luckier to have Alexis as my friend. My fondest memory with Alexis would have to be one of our paddleboarding misadventures. I think a top contender is when we miraculously recovered Alexis' missing shoe miles downriver, after an unexpected swim in the Willamette River. We may have gotten separated, fallen in, (temporarily) lost the dog and sustained some bruises, but at least we got that dang shoe back! Great adventures! :)

How she met the bride: I met Alexis when I traveled to Oregon in the summer of 2024 to interview for my position at West Eugene Animal Hospital. From the moment I arrived, everyone told me that Alexis and I would become fast friends and they were absolutely right. We connected almost immediately and quickly discovered how much we have in common. Favorite memory with the bride: Whether we’re working side by side, kayaking, hiking, visiting hot springs, or just spending time together, we always seem to have the best time. I’m so grateful that what started as a job interview led to such a meaningful friendship.

How they met the bride: I met the bride when I followed Ellen home to her apartment! Favorite memory with the bride: Alexis and I enjoy talking about animals and art stuff and hit it off. My favorite memories together would be sharing our love of pets: Hades, Bagheera and Tushi!
Best Man
How he met the groom: I was at his parents' wedding and his birth. Favorite memory with the groom: Favorite memory is extremely hard to choose, but I think I have to go with the New York “trip”. We drove bodies to Connecticut, stayed in new York for two nights the drove bodies back to Texas. You can leave the dead bodies part out if you want. But Michael is my favorite person to talk to and I was blessed to be in a vehicle with him for the 60+ hours plus the time we had in New York, there is simply not a better person to go places with.

How he met the groom: We met in college, over a mutual interest in obscure philosophy and history, and listening to rock music Favorite memory with the groom:

How he met the groom: Met through an organization on College Campus. Eventually Carnes was looking for a roommate and I gladly joined the house. There was a whole drama in who would join between me and someone else but in the end I prevailed and it worked because then we would never have discovered Austin BBQ. Favorite memory with the groom: From all our memories one of my favorites is going to the Rex Orange County concert probably one of my first ever concerts and all the late night game nights at the house where we talked life, music and spend time with friends. Of course, the best one is going to Oregon to visit!! The best trip ever!!!

How he met the groom: Michael and I went to the same school as kids. Favorite memory with the groom: My favorite memory with Michael was in 2017, he was about to leave home to go college at Sam Houston, and I remember we played Rockband 4 late into the night together one last time before he went off to college.

How he met the groom: I met Michael at SHSU and clearly made a friend that would last long enough to get free food all these years later. Favorite memory with the groom: My favorite memory with Michael was going to go get a free book for a joke and saying all the wrong things to get it.

How he met the groom: When I first met Michael I was visiting his rental house in Huntsville. He was a very gracious host and made sure I was comfortable and welcomed. He immediately started asking about my beliefs and really wanted to understand my answers. His curious nature told me not only was he intelligent but also a caring and thoughtful person. I knew then Mitch had chosen a great friend and I had made a new one. Favorite memory with the groom: I had a lot of fun going to Avant Garden one night with Michael, David, Kate, and Mitch. We had long discussions talking over music while the karaoke night was going on in the background. We in deep talks over subgenres and subsubgenres and subsubsubgenres while occasionally stopping to admire the terrible vocals of some of the singers that had a little too much to drink. It was a great memory and one I cherish.
