Aloha mai kākou!

Mike and Aleena’s paths first crossed during their doctoral studies in San Diego. They were brought together by their shared love of travel and the outdoors, and in the 6 years since have revelled in exploring the splendorous sights of the American West. Backpacking through the Grand Canyon and the jungles of Kauai, roadtripping through the National Parks of Utah, camping in the California deserts and Redwood forests. The opportunities were rare, but nobody can say they didn’t take full advantage of them. Before escaping the chains of their theses the easiest way for them to travel the world was through their exotic cooking. But with Dr. Arakaki’s complete, and Mr. Metke hot on her heels, they’re looking forward to a bright future of traveling the world together. The first stop on the trail is Seattle, but who knows what adventures lie over the horizon
