There are several ways! Our top recommendation is to fly into Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport (OPO) and rent a car or use a Uber/Bolt to the hotel from there. If you choose to fly into Lisbon, there are various domestic flight and train options to Braga. The Lisbon airport is about a 3.5 hour drive or train ride to Braga city center
Totally up to you! It is fairly easy (and most affordable) to order Ubers or Bolts. However, we renting a car is a great option if you plan to explore more on your own or extend your trip. The roads are very easy and safe to navigate.
The welcome event will take place from 6-10pm and is located at Friend's Restaurante (Rua Paço de Palmeira Nº51 , Palmeira, Braga, Portugal 4700-723). We will mingle, play some games, serve a light dinner with dancing throughout. The dress code is cocktail attire.
The dress code for the wedding is Summer Formal and we can’t wait to see all of you looking your best! Our wedding will be set against the vibrant backdrop of Portugal in the summer, so we’re asking guests to show up in bold, elegant, and seasonally chic looks. For Women: Floor-length gowns in bright, summery hues or rich jewel tones are perfect. Bold florals, playful prints, and flowing fabrics are encouraged. Keep it formal and fabulous — mini dresses or overly casual looks aren’t quite the vibe. For Men: A tuxedo or a fun-colored suit (think linen, stone, sage, or blues) works beautifully. Feel free to add personality with textures, prints, or a statement accessory — this is not the time to play it safe. Dress to impress, and don’t be afraid to make a statement. So if you’re asking yourself, “Is this too much?” — you’re probably right on track. Most importantly, come ready to celebrate, dance, and create unforgettable memories with us. Cocktail hour is expected to be outside weather pending. The Ceremony, dinner and reception will be indoors.
Yes! We will offer transportation to and from the wedding venue on September 8, 2025. Shuttles will pickup from the Melia Braga hotel and the Holiday Inn hotel. Schedule TBD. Shuttles will be offered from the venue back to the hotels at various times in the evening. Schedule TBD. If you prefer to Uber or drive, that is an option as well.
