Because the ceremony will be held in a Catholic Church, we kindly ask that ladies choose attire that is appropriate and modest for a Catholic Mass. Consider a dress with a higher neckline and sleeves. As it is summer you may opt to wear a sleeveless dress with a light shawl or wrap for coverage. Please ensure dresses and skirts fall below the knee. Women who wish to honor the Catholic tradition are also welcome to wear a veil during the ceremony. Our wedding attire is semi-formal, and we’d love for all our guests to look their best! For men, this means a suit and tie or a dress shirt with slacks and a blazer. For women, elegant dresses, classy skirts and blouses, or tasteful dressy separates are perfect choices. When in doubt, dress up not down. For the ladies wondering, our bridal party will be dressed in light blue with the men in navy suits. You are welcome to wear any color you wish, blue included!
The ceremony will begin with the exchange of vows by the couple, which will take approximately 10–15 minutes after the Bride has arrived. Following the vows, the Nuptial Mass will be celebrated according to the Traditional Roman Rite, offered entirely in Latin. Booklets will be provided so that all guests may follow along with the prayers and responses throughout the liturgy. During a Catholic Mass, the faithful participate both by singing the hymns and responses and by uniting their silent prayers and intentions with those of the priest. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, joined with the prayers of all present, will bring down abundant graces upon the newlyweds on their wedding day. Out of reverence for the Blessed Sacrament and respect for the sacredness of the church, we kindly ask that all guests refrain from talking inside the church and turn their cell phones off.
Please RSVP as soon as possible to help us with our planning. The final deadline to respond is May 1, 2026, so we can make all the necessary arrangements. You can RSVP directly on the RSVP page of our website.
Out of respect for the Mass, we kindly ask that guests do not take photos or videos inside the church. Our professional photographer will be present to take photos, which we will be happy to share with you afterward.
Please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes before the ceremony starts at 12:00 PM to get settled and find your seats.
Yes! Of course children are welcome. Whether you would like to bring them is entirely up to you. Please keep in mind that the wedding will be a long day and will continue into the evening. Matsqui Hall has a downstairs area available where children can play or rest if they become tired. We totally understand whichever option works best for your family—whether that means bringing your children along or enjoying a relaxing night off.
Please refer to your invitation. If a guest or plus-one is listed, they’re absolutely welcome! If you’re unsure, feel free to reach out and ask.
