We’re getting married!

As most of you know, Stephen and I worked at the same hospital in Lexington, KY. The easy answer to how we met would be, “We met at work.”, but I am here to tell you that there’s way more to the story than that! From the moment I started working at Baptist Health as a nurse tech, I had my eye on Stephen, the PA. In my head I thought, what would a well-established man like that want to do with a girl like me, who makes minimum wage and is still in school?! One summer evening at Thursday Night Live, I was out with my girlfriends and I recognized Stephen, the PA, at a bar. With encouragement from my friends, I went up to introduce myself to Stephen. He was such a nice guy and we ended up having a lot in common. Before he left he asked me when I was working next and I told him Saturday. I told my friends I didn’t think he was interested since he was in such a hurry to leave. Saturday rolls around and I’m working a 12 hr shift. I walk out of a patient room and see Stephen, the PA! My first thought ... HE DOESN'T WORK SATURDAYS! Turns out he wanted to take me on a date:) We exchanged phone numbers and well, here we are 4.5 years later about to get married!!
