As part of our mission, we used large chalkboards to meet new people to teach. This is how we first became friends!

Once Michaela went home, we started emailing as friends, and then we started writing handwritten letters. We fell in love over letters, and this is the letter that started it all!

Now we have an entire book full of letters! Even though we're both home from our missions, we still write letters to each other from time to time.

After nine months of writing, Noah came home from his mission and we started calling every day while he was living in Alabama and Tennessee with his family.

Noah came out to Utah and we saw each other for the first time in 10 months inside the Salt Lake City airport. Later that day we went on our first date to The Pie! We had our first kiss this day, too.

We love to cook and make dinner together, but we first started with banana bread! This was also from while Noah was visiting Utah.

Over Christmas break, Noah came out to Virginia to visit Michaela and her family. We had talked about marriage a few times before, but this was when we started making serious plans!

Being in DC together was a dream! We had so much fun and made so many great memories.

The proposal! It was absolutely magical!! Noah proposed on top of the Rockefeller Center on March 6, 2021.

Michaela's family was there to document the proposal!

The ring! It's so simple, dainty, and beautiful.
