The Craddocks

Nick and Michaela’s story began during a night out in Auburn at a little dive bar called Fat Daddy’s. As all great late nights do, this one ended with bar food—specifically, a plate of mozzarella sticks. Nick had just sat down with a friend when Michaela walked up and asked for one. (If you know Nick, you know sharing food isn’t something he does lightly!) What Michaela didn’t know was that Nick had already noticed her earlier that night. One mozzarella stick led to a conversation, a few games of pool, and plenty of laughs. From that moment on, the two hit it off—and 5 years later, they're getting married!

In early 2025, Nick decided it was finally time to pop the question. With a lot of secret planning (and a little help from family and friends), he put together the perfect plan — a beach proposal in their favorite place. The cover story? A simple family beach trip and some “Christmas card photos.” Michaela had no idea what was really going on. What she also didn’t know was that Nick had invited her family and best friend to secretly join in on the big surprise. When the moment finally came, Nick had created the most romantic setup down to every detail. Michaela was completely shocked — and absolutely over the moon.
