Michael and Michaela currently live in Englewood, Colorado. They are members of Bethany Lutheran Church. Michaela works at Humane Colorado animal shelter in Denver and Michael works for UPS in Aurora. They have 2 dogs: Sandy and Spinach and 3 cats: Cereal, Peach, and Avocado. They love to hike in the mountains, spend quality time at home with their kids, and watching football.

Michael and Michaela met in Sycamore Hall at Indiana University Bloomington in January 2018. Michaela was early to the first day of P155 with a seat open next to her. Michael sat down in that open seat right next to her and they exchanged smiles. The first week of class Professor Mioni had the class share phone numbers with a few classmates for help throughout the semester. Michaela nervously put her paper down on Michael's desk for his number. Throughout the semester, with much help and laughs from each other (mostly Michaela), they grew closer. Michaela became Michael's go to dog-sitter for Sandy throughout all football games, practices, and meetings from 2018 to 2021. Sandy was their rock, bringing them together ALL THE TIME. They both graduated from Indiana University in May 2021. Michaela received her Bachelor of Science in Animal Behavior and Michael received his Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice. In July 2021, Michael asked Michaela to be his girlfriend with Sandy next to them. In 2022 Michael and Michaela moved to Denver, Colorado.
