We're Tying The Knot!

One of our very first dates was during the holiday season, so Kody planned an evening of looking at Christmas lights together. I (Michaela) have always been obsessed with Christmas ever since I was a little girl (I start decorating on November 1st, no exceptions). Something about the holidays has always been so beautiful and magical. We drove all around the town looking at all the best decorated houses as Kody went out of his way to research all of the highly rated places to go. It was honestly the best date I have ever had, and I was able to ease him into my Christmas obsession a little easier after that.. Fast forward to about a year later, We were in Idaho celebrating the holidays with Kody's family. It was Christmas Eve, and we were out looking at the lights in the new area/town as I have never seen them before. There was a giant lit tree in the middle of a decorated park, Kody's mom asked me to stand in front of it facing the tree so she could take a picture. After she "took the picture", I turned around and there he was, down on one knee, with the most beautiful ring I had ever seen. He asked me to marry him, and of course I said YES! It was easily one of the best days of both of our lives. We both feel so lucky and blessed to have found each other in this crazy world. Life truly is so beautiful when you get to spend your days with your best friend.
