Charleston is generally very safe - however like with any city there are some rougher areas. If you are unsure, check reviews first and if that doesn't clear it up try a quick google maps search to check out the area. If you still have concerns, please feel free to reach out to the couple!
Charleston is so gorgeous and has so many great areas! We would suggest Mount Pleasant, Downtown, James Island, Sullivan's Island, Isle of Palms, or Daniel Island. With Charleston being such a travel destination - there are tons of options on AirB&Bs and VRBO. Please see the Travel page for specific hotel suggestions.
We will be providing a shuttle service from Charleston Harbor Resort to the wedding venue - check back here for exact times as we are still working this out!
There is large designated lot approximately a quarter mile from Creek Club. There will be a golf cart shuttling guests over to the venue from there. There is also street parking in I'On. There is NO PARKING allowed in the lot adjacent to Creek Club - this is for I'On residents to access the boat launch and docks.
Yes! We will arrange this - please check back for details as we are still working this out!
Charleston Cocktail - suits for men in any color and long gowns for women
We are choosing to do food stations instead of a plated dinner. There will be a beef station, poultry station, and seafood station with assorted sides at each. We are choosing to do this because it is customary at southern weddings, and it gives guests the opportunity to try different cuisine rather than only choose one entree in advance! When you RSVP, we will ask about any allergies or dietary restrictions so we can make the catering team aware.
While we love your little ones - we are choosing not to allow children at our wedding. They are, however, welcome to come to the welcome party.
Unless it was included on your invitation, or you have been explicitly told by the bride and groom then you are not allowed a plus one. Thank you for understanding!
Late Fall in Charleston is typically gorgous! Days average mid 60s, with evenings being a bit cooler in the mid to upper 50s. If were lucky, we may even see the 70s while were there!
The ceremony will be outside, and reception will be inside. We suggest bringing a light layer for the ceremony in case it is a cooler November day. Fingers crossed you won't be needing it!
Please see the "Schedule" page for dress code details!
