Dear family and friends, After thoughtful consideration, we have decided to cancel our wedding planned for this May at Greywacke Meadows. There are a lot of unknowns around the current pandemic, and the health and safety of our friends and families are our highest priority. Though we have been looking forward to gathering together to celebrate, we acknowledge that it is not possible to do so safely at this time. Instead, we plan to have a very small ceremony sometime this spring with our immediate family. While we wish we could celebrate this special day with all our friends and family, we do not anticipate this to be possible in the upcoming months. But don’t worry, there will be a larger party in the summer of 2022 to celebrate our first anniversary with everyone, so be sure to look out for those details early next year. We appreciate your continued love and support, and while we feel it was the right decision, we hope you understand it wasn’t easy to make. Please reach out to us if you have any additional questions. Love, Justin & Michaela
In 2013, Justin and Michaela would meet for the first time despite living only minutes apart for so many years. Michaela was a freshman at Hudson Valley Community College, and Justin a Senior at LaSalle Institute next door. They would be introduced by mutual friends Michael Jennings and Sarah (Nuss) Jennings, who celebrated their wedding in July of 2016. Justin and Michaela remained friends for several years prior to dating.
In September of 2018, Justin would propose to Michaela along the shoreline at Grafton State Park. Coincidentally, they would later choose Graywacke Meadows which neighbors the State Park as the venue for their wedding.
