Money Exchange

You will need to exchange your dollars into pesos. A lot of establishments will take credit/debit for a fee. However, small shops and many places are cash only. Be prepared by exchanging your money prior to travel, or bring cash and exchange when you arrive. Your personal bank can order the pesos for you, just make sure to do it 1-2 weeks in advance because they usually need to order them.

Flight

Guadalajara (GDL)

Guadalajara will be your destination airport for traveling to Tequila. It is approximately a 40 minute drive from Guadalajara to the town of Tequila. Car rentals, shuttles, taxis are available.

This hotel is owned by Jose Cuervo. It is centrally located in the plaza. Right outside the hotel you can find restaurants, shops, distilleries and more.

Travel Note

Transportation Around Tequila & Amatitan

There is Uber available. However I’m not sure how many drivers are going to be around as the towns are smaller so I assume there won’t be unlimited drivers. I encourage guests to rent a car, or carpool with people who rented one. Use the taxi/Uber system or arrange for private drivers to get you from airport to town.
