Michaela and Jarred met on Minecraft in 2016. Michaela was very hesitant to talk to Jarred. However, Jarred was persistent enough that he found Michaela’s instagram through a mutual friend. After 3 attempts, Michaela finally said “yes” and they finally started dating on February 23rd, 2018. On July 23rd, 2018 Jarred and his mother flew to Ohio for the first time to meet Michaela and her parents at the Akron-Canton airport. Jarred had gotten Michaela a pineapple necklace from Hawaii. This led to one of Michaela’s early nicknames, “Pineapple Girl”. Michaela was so nervous that she said, “I want to crawl inside that jewelry box”. As their first trip together came to an end, they were both devastated but determined to see each other again. Michaela cried at the airport while Jarred left to return to Florida. While in college they made it a habit to see each other about every other month. They took a total of 30 trips between Ohio and Florida. Once Michaela graduated from Kent State University in May 2023, she relocated to Florida to end the distance in their relationship. They have 2 kitty cats named Luna and Nova. In their spare time they enjoy traveling, spending time outdoors, watching shows, and spending time with friends and family. On December 31st, 2023, Jarred took Michaela on a hike in Rocky Mountain National Park. After walking across 3 frozen lakes in subzero weather, he got down on one knee and proposed to Michaela at Emerald Lake. It was a very cold, beautiful, and memorable proposal. They are beyond ready and excited to begin this new journey in their relationship. They are planning on purchasing their first home together in 2026. They are looking forward to all their family and friends being part of their special day!
