There are many factors that went into this decision, however, the main one being that as we were planning the original big wedding, we quickly found out that we wanted something smaller scale and more intimate to really focus on our union.
Our house is in such a cool location that we decided to just host our small intimate elopement ceremony in our own backyard! Check out the pictures in the gallery tab to see.
As we metioned in the earlier answers, we were going for a more intimate vibe. Therefore, we only invited our immediate families to the ceremony. So it is definitely nothing personal. That is why we decided to have an after-the-fact reception party, so we can invite all of our friends and family to that. Not to mention, the amount of money we saved doing it this way.
If you are not camping out for the whole weekend, then the main event reception party is SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 28TH at 12:30pm.
If you want to celebrate with us all weekend, then you are able to bring a tent and camp out in our backyard. You can come set up Friday evening (September 27th). The main event is Saturday the 28th. This is when the people who aren't camping out will come join us for the reception party.
This will be held in our backyard, so please wear something comfortable. There are no stipulations.
The Main event on the 28th is a potluck, so please bring a dish if you are able to, but please don’t feel obligated. Anything from a bag of chips to a case of water/soda is helpful. We will be supplying hot dogs, hamburgers, and other like meats.
Yes. BYOB.
We will lovingly accept any gifts you are wanting to give us, however being that we have lived together for quite some time now, we have most of what we need item-wise. You will see on the "Registry" tab up top in the menu that we have added some cash donation options. These will help with paying for our honeymoon, or house downpayment, etc. However, there is also the link to our Amazon wedding registry as well!
Yes, you may bring your children. Just please be aware there will be alcohol, swearing, a steep cliff on the side of the property, and busy roads with fast traffic.
We may have a big yard, and as much as we love our furry friends, with the amount of people and equipment expected, there wont be much room left for them. We want to avoid any potential overcrowding and noise for our neighbors as well. With that being said, please don't bring your dogs.
If it won't let you RSVP, chances are either you didn't type your name the way we entered it into the guest list, or we need to enter you into the guest list first. If you aren't sure, please reach out to Michaela and she can help you figure it out.
Yes. The RSVP’s are just to get a basic idea of how many people will be there. This reception party is pretty laid back, and there is no seating chart. Bring who you want.
