Carlo and I have always known of each other through church and from around town, but we didn’t actually start talking until 2017. At the time, I was living in Wisconsin, but distance didn’t stop us from getting to know one another. Now, if you ask Carlo, he’ll proudly tell you he “pulled” me, but let’s be real: if you know Carlo, you know that’s not exactly how it went down. When we started talking, I had already made up my mind that I was moving to Texas. I had job interviews lined up. Then along came Carlo, flipping my plans upside down… and next thing you know, I was packing up and heading back to Arkansas instead. From that point on, we have been inseparable. Carlo is definitely the more quiet and reserved one between us. He likes to call me the “social butterfly,” and I like to think we balance each other out perfectly. Our story is still unfolding, but there’s no one else I’d rather write it with than him.
