I was a senior in high school and Jackson was a sophomore when we landed in the same Spanish II class. It wasn't until a seating arrangement later in the fall that brought us together. Over time, we both talked more and more eventually becoming friends in the class and always making each other laugh. I soon graduated and headed off to Lincoln for school while Jackson continued on through high school. We lost touch for the most part besides remembering to say "happy birthday!" when the time came. A couple of years later, Jackson reached back out to me on a random Tuesday night in September. I specifically remember struggling with my accounting homework when I got the Snapchat from Jackson that said "hola spanish buddy!!". I was excited to hear from him and was glad to hear that I was still his Spanish buddy even after I had been gone for two years. We continued to talk for a few months when we finally decided to go on a date to downtown Omaha to see the Christmas lights, it was perfect because we both LOVE Christmas and we have been together and happy ever since!
