FAQ

Question

When should I book accommodations?

Answer

Vermont is absolutely gorgeous in the fall, and we’re not the only ones who know that! Hotels will fill up well in advance at this time of year. Make sure to get ahead of all the leaf-peepers by booking as soon as you can!

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

The ceremony and reception dress code is black tie optional - tuxedos, formal suits, gowns, or formal dresses. Please keep in mind the ceremony and short walk to the reception will take place on grass and uneven terrain so we suggest avoiding stilettos. You may want a warm layer for later in the evening, as the temperature will typically be in the 50s.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There is parking available at the Outdoor Center at Trapp Family Lodge, located close to the ceremony and reception meadows. Lodge guests can also park in the lot across from the lodge.

Question

Is there a shuttle?

Answer

The ceremony and reception meadows are a 5 minute walk from the lodge and parking areas. There is an on-site shuttle service, as an alternative to walking, that will also take guests back to the lodge and on-site houses or villas at the end of the night.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by August 21st, 2024. RSVPs will be available online or by mail upon delivery of the formal invitation.

Question

Are there any other events besides the ceremony and reception?

Answer

All guests are welcome to join us for drinks and light snacks at our welcome party on Friday night, and for a farewell brunch on Sunday morning. Additional details will be provided on the formal invitation.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation says “and Guest,” then you are welcome to bring a date.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Although we would love to welcome all of our extended family and friends, we are limited by venue size constraints. Please refer to the names listed on your invitation.
