FAQs

August 15 update: Our wedding is on! Fortunately, Vermont is doing a lot better than many other states, and we're working with our venue to develop guidelines that will allow the wedding to happen in a way that's safe and respectful to our guests and minimizes any health risk.
Question

What changes are in place because of COVID-19?

Answer

As of September 1st, some restrictions include: - Vermont mask mandate in place. You MUST wear a mask when in public spaces and when interacting with wedding staff. Disposable masks will be provided, or you may bring your own - Both Lyndsay and Michael tested negative for COVID, as of 9/2 - Reducing head count to under 60 guests - Asking that guests who must travel from outside the Northeast not attend - Doubling seating capacity for the ceremony to allow for distancing (you may also bring blankets) - Groomsmen and bridesmaids will likely not walk down the aisle in pairs - Reducing the total number of guests at each dinner table - Eliminating self-serve buffet dinner (staff will plate food for you) - Cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms every 30 minutes The entire wedding, cocktail hour, and reception will be outdoors as well.

Question

If I'm uncomfortable being in a large group because of COVID-19, what are my options?

Answer

Good question. While we'd love to have everyone attending celebrate with us all evening, we want everyone to be as comfortable as possible. That includes bringing a blanket to watch the ceremony if you'd like (we have also doubled seating on benches), or skipping the reception. Please note that cocktail hour will take place in an expansive lawn area outside the Inn, which is adjacent to the open-air pavilion reception space. That means you'd always have the option to bring a blanket and eat on the lawn if you'd prefer more distancing (we have also reduced the number of people per table). We're expecting things to spill out onto the lawn inevitably anyway. If you're most comfortable departing after the ceremony, we understand. Please let us know if this is what you'd like to do by August 1st so we can plan our menu accordingly.

Question

When Should I RSVP?

Answer

August 1, 2020 at the latest

Question

What Time Should I Arrive For the Ceremony?

Answer

Our ceremony begins at 4:30pm, and we want everyone to enjoy the experience. Please arrive and take your seats by 4:15pm.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Cocktail attire - but be comfortable! We do not recommend high heels since the ceremony/cocktail hour will take place in a grassy field.

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

With a reduced headcount, we unfortunately will not have room for kids. Please leave them at home, unless otherwise discussed.

Question

Is There Transportation To/From the Venue?

Answer

Due to COVID, we will not have any group transportation arranged, but area lodging is not far from the venue. Parking will be plentiful on-site, and there will be attendants on-site to show you where to park when you arrive. Please drive safely.
