We first started talking on FaceBook and eventually we officially met each other at a bar that we both used to go to. Then, one day our first date was at O'Charleys in Clarksville, Tennessee. And soon I would find out if the relationship would last, Brent had received orders to be stationed in Fort Dix, New Jersey for a year. So, there were lots of texting and skyping to each other.

On August 19, 2013, Brent had bought me a plane ticket to fly to New Jersey to visit with him for the week of my birthday. We went to visit the Philadelphia Zoo, New York (at Ground Zero), my first train ride. And on August 23rd, once we got back to his room at the Officer Housing in New Jersey, we were sitting on the bed and I had proposed to him, then he replied "I'll say yes if you can find the rings," so lets just say that the search was on.
