Together is a beautiful place to be.

Like many others who were looking to find love during the pandemic, Barbie and Michael turned to online dating, specifically Bumble. After a few dates that led to dead ends, the two finally matched with one another. They texted back and forth and settled on when to have their first official date. Mod Pizza was the chosen place. What had initially planned to be a simple and short first date turned into a three hour exchange of laughs and silly stories. Barbie was drawn to Michael's cute smile and witty sense of humor while Michael was drawn to Barbie's kind and caring nature. The night came to an end when a security guard let them know that the premises had closed and asked them to leave. At the end of that first date, both Barbie and Michael knew that this was something special.

Michael had started planning his proposal months in advance. He had chosen a weekend in October that was already going to be memorable for Barbie. Her birthday was on Wednesday. Then Thursday night the two of them planned to fly to Phoenix, Arizona to attend Barbie's Masters graduation Friday morning. After the graduation, they would jump on another flight to head to LA to celebrate her birthday and graduation with his parents at her favorite place…Disneyland. In order to truly surprise Barbie, Michael had enlisted his parents to help. They were tasked with taking photos of the special moment. When they all arrived at Disneyland, Barbie was eager to start their day and wanted to immediately head for the rides. Michael on the other hand had suggested they visit Snow White’s wishing well first. He said he had never been to the wishing well and wanted to check it out. Once they got to the wishing well Michael’s mother started to take some photos of the couple which initially confused Barbie. She was then further confused saying “What are you doing? What’s going on?" when Michael took Barbie by the hands. Michael told Barbie how much she meant to him and got down on one knee to propose. Over come with so much joy and emotion Barbie immediately started crying as she was completely surprised by the proposal. Barbie had always dreamed about getting proposed to at the happiest place on earth but never thought it would happen. Once Barbie composed herself, she finally said YES! The happy couple and Michael’s parents then spent a magical day at Disneyland. This was a day and weekend that they will never forget.
