For their first date, Rachel led Mical through a rainforest hike in Hawaii Volcanoes National Park where she used to work as a ranger for a summer in high school. The national park continues to be one of our favorite places. *If we’re lucky Madam Pele may continue to show off with an eruption to view, but the volcano is a very dynamic landscape that is constantly changing. Eruption or not, we encourage you to explore their website and make a stop there during your visit!
The Hilo Farmer's Market is a must stop. Produce vendors are set up every day, but Wednesdays and Saturdays are the "big" days when you will find all the craft vendors there as well. Get some island fruit, souvenirs, and grab an Acai Bowl from Kula shave ice or lunch at Poke and Sides.
