Maid of Honor
Micaiah and Jen met in 2019 when they were both IHOPU students. They also worked at Providence Pizza together. One day as the shifts were changing and Micaiah clocked in as Jen clocked out, Micaiah told Jen to 'Have a good evening!' Jen replied, with no lack of sass, "Don't tell me how to live my life." That was the start of a beautiful and amazing friendship that has lasted through thick and thin. Jennifer and Micaiah got to live together for a short time after college, have written a couple of songs together, and are still the best of friends.
Best Man
JJ and Johnny met in IHOPU. Due to having mutual friends, Johnny found himself at JJ's house 24/7. Johnny was there so much that they gave him a key and he became their unofficial 6th roommate. JJ and Johnny soon discovered that they shared many hobbies and JJ quickly became one of Johnny’s best friends. Through the years, JJ has always hyped Johnny up and encouraged him. Johnny has loved seeing JJ grow into being a husband and now a father!
Bridesmaid
Micaiah and Michaela met in 2022 when Micaiah began working at Commission Church. They teamed up to start up and co-lead the young adult life group at church. Micaiah also lived with Michaela's family, for a short time and truly began to see her as a sister. She introduced Seth and Michaela, and now, with Michaela marrying Micaiah's brother, they will actually be sisters!
Groomsman
Seth and Johnny met after Seth graduated from college and moved to KC in 2023. They immediately bonded over their nerdiness, love of Nintendo games, and sense of humor. Once you get them on a bit it's difficult to stop. Once, while at Seth’s house, the guys started going through some sounds that Seth had created (he’s a film score composer btw) and that quickly spiraled into them making one of the most ridiculous rap songs ever heard. So sorry, but if you know you know…
Bridesmaid
Micaiah and Abby are cousins. They are the only two girl cousins on Micaiah's mom's side of the family. Both Micaiah and Abby have many summer memories of water skiing, playing hide and go seek at Nana and Papa's house, wrestling with the other cousins, and playing in the hay loft with kittens. They also choreographed their fair share of dances to the Cheetah Girls and performed them for the family. They promised as little girls that they would have each other in their weddings when they grew up.
Groomsman
Joshua and Johnny met while Johnny was a student at IHOPU. Joshua’s worship team was coaching Johnny’s school team for a semester and he got Joshua as his mentor - which was a crazy experience because Joshua was his favorite guitarist in the prayer room! A couple of years passed, and Johnny got an opportunity to join Joshua’s team in the prayer room! Joshua fought for Johnny to be in full-time ministry against all odds, and now they have thousands of hours together creating live music for worship and prayer. Best job they’ve ever had!
Bridesmaid
Micaiah met Lydia in 2019 through JJ. (Micaiah's friend and Lydia's husband). These ladies have gotten closer since JJ and Lydia started attending the young adult group at Commission Church. They have bonded over their love for ministry and the fact that JJ and Johnny are best friends. Lydia is wise, strong, and someone that Micaiah admires. She is a ray of sunshine and has the most contagious laughter.
Groomsman
Lucas was Johnny’s best bud from the beginning of his time at IHOPU. Catching a record-sized fish (definitely NOT illegal) in the lake behind their house, Johnny buying a car from Lucas so he could say he made a sale, Lucas elaborately kidnapped Johnny on his birthday, and writing a “mock” country song together are just a few of the memories they have. Unfortunately, that song turned out to be pretty decent…But Hey! That’s a Nice Truck!
Bridesmaid
Micaiah and Christine met at film school and they were roommates. They became fast friends and bonded over their love of NF and working out. They were paired together a handful of times to work on projects together at school and were a constant support to each other through prayer and encouragement. They also served on the worship team at film school together. After Micaiah left film school she and Christine stayed in touch regularly and their friendship has only grown. Micaiah went out to Canada to visit Christine and her husband Ryan last summer and LOVED it. Micaiah still calls Christine little mooseling sometimes and loves to emphasize her Canadian heritage.
Groomsman
Josiah is Johnny’s favorite younger brother. Growing up, they shared their love for Star Wars, Legos, and video games. Johnny remembers having lightsaber fights in their backyard until it got too dark to see anything except for the glow of the lightsabers. When their extended family came to visit, Johnny would give up his room and stay in Josiah’s room with him. After the family left, Johnny loved to prolong his stay in Josiah's room because it was so much fun sharing a room with his brother.
