and so it begins...

Christmas 2013: Micah was tricked into attending a Resonate Church formal Christmas party wearing an ugly sweater. Little did he know stepping into that party would be the best decision of his life. Looking around the room, he saw one girl (Julie) in a sea of suits and cocktail dresses also wearing an ugly sweater. And that's how the story begins. Three weeks later, after numerous attempts and denials, Julie finally agreed to go on a date with Micah. Fast forward through a handful of dinners, a snowboarding trip, and an excursion into the University of Idaho recital hall, and the two were officially together! Micah almost immediately left for his second deployment to Afghanistan and the long-distance adventure began. Things weren't always incredibly smooth after that. After a mid-deployment breakup (Micah's stupid awful no-good decision) Julie and Micah spent several years apart. But through God's grace and the Spirit's prompting, the two came back together last year and Micah proposed in February over a private 5-course meal (which he didn't cook himself). Through a season of whirlwind decisions and multiple moves by both parties, Micah and Julie have landed in Fort Collins, Colorado and are in full-time work and wedding planning mode. The adventures are far from over and Micah and Julie are so excited for what God has for them in the future! Please please please come and celebrate with them on October 27th!
