Bride
This is Micah; the bride. She's the main character in this story. She didn't want to show up at all, but she was promised there would be whiskey and beer.
Groom
Honestly? Not that important. He bought a ring, so we felt sorry enough to let him attend. Just ignore him the entire time. He feeds off attention.
Maid of Honor
The story is Hannah is the sister to the bride, but there has never been a DNA test to confirm this theory...although the patented "Cash Five-head" does lend some credence to the idea. Long ago, Hannah and their brother (Jared) founded the "We hate Micah" club. Asking Hannah to be the maid-of-honor is the long con to get back at her for these petty games.
Best Man
James and Louis met on the sidelines at football practice in high school. While they were both supposed to be paying attention in order to play more and warm the bench less, they spent most of the afternoon talking about the Legend of Zelda and other video games. Since then their friendship has devolved into a continuous stream of bad puns and inappropriate innuendos.
Bridesmaid
Jen started out a friend to Jared (brother to the bride) but her love of hiking, tacos, and dive bars solidified the friendship between Jen and Micah until they eventually phased Jared out completely and started hanging out together. Usually at dive bars or over post hike tacos.
Groomsman
James and Kyle met in high school, but didn't actually become friends until they started working at Cinemark together. Throughout James's entire life, Kyle has been the constant voice of grounding. Anytime things were going well and James was happy, Kyle was always there to remind him (and everyone else) what a terrible person he is. They now spend most of their shared time reminding each other how bad they are at video games.
Bridesmaid
Micah and Ana met while in college a full thirteen years ago. Our friendship is full of laughter, stories, and adventures. Our lives have become chaotic and we don't spend enough time together, but every time we are, it's like no time has passed at all.
Groomsman
James and Brad met when James started working at Cinemark in 2002. Originally, they were only friends because they were both friends with each other's friends, James now considers Brad one of his closest friends and someone he can always count on. Even though life consistently tries to get in the way, they still get together (online) every week to play video games together.
Bridesmaid
Lauren is a fun-loving person who Micah met through her sister Hannah. Lauren's love of dogs, volleyball and adventure pushed their status from "She's that person who I know through someone else" to "She's that person I consider a close and personal friend." We still blame Lauren for introducing us to Noctis and Luna, our psychotic shepadoodle puppies, but we wouldn't have it any other way.
Groomsman
James is the older, stronger, smarter, better-looking, and more charismatic brother to Matt. Though they look nothing alike, their similar mannerisms and way of speaking leave no doubt as to the relation. The two brothers used to be hyper-competitive, but Matt has graciously agreed to admit that James is better at everything in order to secure his spot in the wedding party.
