How We Met

January 2013

We met at our church's youth group when we were in middle school! I was singing in the youth band for Wednesday night services and Jacob was the new guitar player. The first conversation we ever had I actually had to write what I said on a white board because I had hurt my vocal cords! Every week after that we had to go over what songs we would be doing that week and he became my best friend. We have been attached at the hip ever since! - Micah

The Proposal

June 17, 2019

Jacob and I decided to study abroad with Oklahoma State University during the summer between our Sophomore and Junior year of college in Dublin, Ireland. We spent 10 days getting to see the Irish culture and travel to a lot of small towns outside of Dublin. It was a blast to go with a large group of our friends! After our trip ended in Dublin, we had decided to go to Paris and London afterwards! So, we flew out of Dublin into Paris and Jacob wanted to take me out to a nice dinner. When we got to the restaurant he had me cover my eyes to surprise me with the view of the Eiffel Tower. He counted down and when I opened my eyes I saw this incredible landmark I had always dreamed of seeing, then I turned around and Jacob was standing in the middle our family. He knelt down on one knee and proposed to me in front of the Eiffel Tower! I had no idea that it was going to happen and it was magical! I also didn't know that my family was going to be there so it made it even more sweet. It was a magical trip, but the sweetest thing I brought home was that I get to marry my best friend. - Micah
