Kevin came into Clare's life when she was five, and quickly became the ideal little brother: mischievous, funny and better at sports than she could ever hope to be. The man you want by your side at a concert or adventuring in a new place. Just don't make him read a book.

Bronson Dowd

Micah met Bronson when they by chance had two classes together and lived on the same floor freshman year. Bronson taught Micah to play Magic: the Gathering that year and has been paying for that mistake for the last 12 years. Clare and Micah don't know where they would be without Bronson's listening ear.

Katherine Hartke

Clare and Katherine met their freshman year at UW over a mug of soup in a cold dorm lounge. Their lives have circled around each other ever since, living together for all but 8 months of the past eleven years. Katie is the best hiking buddy, plant identifier and creative inspiration Clare and Micah could possibly hope for.

14 years ago Micah and Sam met up for some pre-season training for high school cross country. They have been studying physics, swapping Dwarf Fortress saves, and complaining to each other ever since.

Esther Ranjbar

*Technically* Clare and Esther met in a choir, but their friendship blossomed in the years following college as they discovered shared interests in gaming, music, fabric arts and complaining about Excel. Clare knows Esther will commiserate with her on pretty much anything and encourage all the unique fashion choices that she's bashful of making.

Sam Ditty

After an introduction from Bronson in college, Sam quickly became an integral part of the crew, sharing a love for nerdy pastimes and craft beer. He's become Micah and Clare's bouldering and scotch drinking companion (not at the same time). Sam is as earnest as it gets, wearing his heart on his sleeve; Clare and Micah are glad to be in that heart.

Gabriel Arthofer

Bridesman

Clare has known Gabriel for more than 18 years (!!) and counting. Despite their lives changing in many ways, they're as fast of friends as ever. Plus, they make a great sailing team if you're in a pinch and need to make a seafaring getaway.

Sierra Barajas

When picking an officiant, we wanted someone who was insightful, organized, eloquent and funny as heck. Sierra was our immediate pick. We're thankful she was up to taking on the challenge 4 months after bringing our godson Camilo into the world. She's known Micah since they went to Woodinville High School together, and Clare since UW (they probably met eating ice cream in Rick's, RIP).

Libby is a ray of sunshine embodied. She and Clare have been all over the world together, from Paris to Istanbul to Denver. Libby has great taste in people and better taste in books, introducing Clare to many beloved authors and stories over the years.
