Is the ceremony & reception at the same location?

Answer

Yes! The ceremony and reception are at Spearfish Canyon Lodge. Both the ceremony and reception will be outdoors.

What's the weather typically like?

Answer

Early fall in South Dakota can be a comfortable 50 to 60 degrees during the day, and drop into the 30s and 40s at night. Heat lamps are provided by the venue, but please dress accordingly!

How do I RSVP & by when?

Answer

To RSVP, scan the QR code on the back of your invitation. Enter the name of one guest in your household, then select which guests will be attending. Please RSVP no later than August 1st, 2026.

Where do we stay & do we need to book our own room?

Answer

We have blocked out all rooms at Spearfish Canyon Lodge on Friday and Saturday night for our guests. Please call 605-584-3435 to make a reservation (online booking is unavailable). You MUST make a reservation by August 1st, 2026 to receive a 10% discount on a room. If reservations are made after August 1st, 2026 the discount will not be applied. The lodge also releases rooms to the public to book after August 1st. If all released rooms are booked by the public, you are responsible for booking a hotel and transportation if you choose to consume alcohol and cannot drive.

How far is the venue from the airport?

Answer

Spearfish Canyon Lodge is about 1 hour and 20 minutes from the Rapid City Regional Airport. Transportation from the airport to the venue will not be provided, please book your own transportation.
