How many days should I plan for?

Answer

We recommend staying on the Island for a week. This will give you plenty of time to experience everything Roatán has to offer. Please keep in mind the wedding festivities will take place from Thursday- Saturday.

What other wedding events will there be?

Answer

In addition to our wedding, we are planning other fun events for our guest to attend. There will be a Welcome Party on Thursday and a Goodbye Celebration on Saturday.

Will there be a dress code?

Yes, more information on dress codes for each event will be available in the coming months.

What language is spoken in Roatán?

Answer

While the official language on the island is Spanish, English is widely spoken due to the thriving tourism industry.

What is the local currency ?

Answer

The local currency in Honduras is the Lempira. However, in Roatán, the US Dollar is widely accepted ONLY if the dollar bills are in pristine condition. This means no wrinkles, rips, or tears! Please check all your dollar bills. Credit cards are also widely accepted as well, but we do suggest carrying some cash.

What will the weather be like during this time?

Answer

In late February, you can expect the weather to be warm and humid. Temperatures are around high-to-mid 80s with around 80% humidity.

Are there any visa requirements?

Answer

Nope! No visa requirements, but a U.S. passport that is valid for at least three months after the entry date is required to enter the country.
