Roger and I worked for Main Event at locations in different states and were both a part of the NCO training team - so we got to travel to open new locations. For years, our relationship consisted of working together, quick chats, and training outings – but that all changed one night out in 2017 during an opening in Jacksonville, FL. After a night of “get to know ya” questions, a LIT Drinking challenge (cause I NEVER back down from a challenge), and lots of bachata dancing, we realized something was there and decided to see where it would go. What would follow was a year of long-distance, a relocation to TX, new jobs, a graduation, a pandemic, and so much more LIFE that came our way - but through it all, he was my best friend and love of my life. As we near our wedding day, I reflect on how thankful I am for this journey of new experiences, life changes, adventures, plenty of ups, and even some downs. I truly feel like the luckiest girl to have Roger as my partner in life and I can’t wait to make it to the altar. Time to turn the page to a new chapter and officially become Mrs. Delgado!
All great stories start with a man & beautiful woman, a bar, a challenge, 5 LIT drinks, and dancing. Let's say we got waaaaay ahead of ourselves...because if you know us, Caela & I are competitive at heart, so we don't back down from a challenge. That was the day it sparked. But in all seriousness, the real start of our relationship happened one day at the beach in Jacksonville, Florida. Caela was out jumping over waves and enjoying the sun while I was sweating thinking to myself "Just go talk to her idiot!". Needless to say, I found the courage to finally get to know her and she got to know me. We had to work at it and balance traveling not only for work but to see each other since we lived in two different states. But we both knew this was something special so it didn't matter what it took - we always made time for each other. She has always pushed me to fulfill my dreams and passions no matter what obstacles lie in front of me. She had to move away from family and friends to start our life together here in Texas, and I will forever be grateful for her sacrifices and thankful she took the chance. As we approach our wedding day and every day before...I continue to feel like the luckiest guy in the world!
