HIS VERSION I was living across the street from Ocean Mazda at the time, and I was in the shower after a long day at work. My brother, who is very close to one of the owners of Mazda, had been invited to the grand opening, so he called me last minute to extend the invitation; I accepted. I got dressed superfast and walked right across the street. When I walked in, I didn't know one person. I was mainly at the bar and talking to my brother. I went to the front desk, and the love of my life walked up to me and asked me if I had seen someone that I'd never met. I replied, "No, but I will help you." We talked the whole night, and something came over me when I asked her if I could see her the next day, God was watching and granted me a date with her the next night. I liked her a lot at first sight; I fell in love with her after our first date. The next day, we spent together, and the following day, I thanked God for putting my soulmate in my life at the right time and in the right place. HER VERSION When my parents invited me to the opening of Ocean Mazda West Kendall, my first thought was, "Sure, I'll wear a nice dress and drink some wine". I spent the first half of the night celebrating with family. While I clocked the cute boy standing by the welcome desk, I refused to initiate conversation. It wasn't until my cousin said, "If you don't go flirt with him, I will" that I started planning my casual, but intentional attack. I let my family walk away so I could ask said "cute boy" if he had seen where they went... clever, I know. By the end of the night I had laid the groundwork: confirmed he was single, gave him my number, and made plans to see each other the next day. By 7pm the next night, we were having drinks at Level 6 and half my coworkers were hiding in the corner of the restaurant ready to give me an out if I needed one. By 10pm, I had admitted my friends were watching us and Jesse took it like the champ he is. He introduced himself, and we all ended the night dancing at Bodega, my favorite place in the world at the time. Jesse asked to see me the next day, then the day after that, and in a month, we were in love and beginning our journey together.
