Our story isn't anything but GOD and timing. First let me tell you the facebook dating story, So Tavares and I started talking on Facebook dating. We talked all the time and than next thing I know Tavares fell off the face of the earth on me. I was convinced my attitude of being in a relationship was where it needed to be. "Just do me". Next thing I notice Tavares ends back in my DM's, turns out he had been sick with covid. So I gave him grace.....Now the magic happens! I told Tavares I am tired of talking on the phone, if we was going to continue to talk we needed to go on a date. Well guess who didn't waste no time making those arrangements and they consisted of "Lets go to Kobe's steakhouse and to a comedy show" Guess who made those arrangements? Not me! Tavares did... That right there set the tone for me. How often does the man come up with plans? We had our first date and it was wonderful even though Tavares had me out in the cold trying to figure out how to unlock his truck for me to get in (his defense he had just bought his truck) so he was still learning it. If you know me, this part wouldn't surprise you. I got in his truck and started controlling the heat. I didn't think nothing about this but as we continued to see one another, Tavares brought this up and said he was like in his mind "who does this woman think she is?" Ha!Ha! Now as time went on Tavares and I learned that we both grew up as military brats not only that we both grew up with our stepfathers being in the military and soon found out that we were in the same locations at the same time. Tavares and I lived in Ft. Campbell, Kentucky at the same time, there was only one school so we had to have attended the same school and probably knew one another being there is only one year in our age difference. We also were stationed in Germany around the same time, although he lived in a different place than us. Now, many years later, we meet up. We call this fate, the lord wanted us to go through our rough patches in life without one another and then when he was ready to unite us, that is exactly what happened. We truly believe it was God's timing and all things are meant for a reason. We have a beautiful relationship; we are each other's best friend! We are excited about this next chapter in our life! Even more excited to share our day with the people we love.
