Rachel and I were randomly paired as college roommates, but what grew from that was a lifelong friendship. She has been by my side in the most important moments, including the birth of my daughter, and I am grateful to call her my bridesmaid. I met Mariana in undergrad and our friendship grew quickly. Mariana loves my daughter as her own and has an infectious smile and laugh that lightens every room she’s in. She was the first friend to meet Brandon, so it feels right to have her stand with us on our day.

Darian and I have been friends since 4th grade (minus 7th grade, we don’t talk about 7th grade). She has known so many different versions of me for the past 13 years. We ended up 5 hours away from each other for college, but despite the years and miles apart we’ve stayed connected (mostly through our almost 3 year long Snapchat streak). It’s been such a privilege to grow with her for so many years. I’m excited to bring her with me to this next part of my life.

Stella is my sweet niece and Maddie’s daughter. It’s been so fun to see Stella grow into the little woman she is now. She’s funny, sweet, caring, and such a fun addition to my bridal party.

Elise is the friend who knows me most completely. We met in undergrad, but it feels like I’ve known her for a lifetime. She was the first person I told when I knew I loved Brandon. Elise is my funniest friend and has the ability to make me laugh even on my hardest days. It is a profound gift to have her support me as a bridesmaid and unite us in marriage as our officiant.

Azia is my adorable, funny, spunky little niece, and Erin’s daughter. She brings so much light and joy into our lives. She loves Aunt Mimi and Uncle Brandon so much and we’re so excited to have her as our flower girl.

Junie is my baby girl. She is the cutest, smartest, funniest, and sweetest little girl I’ve ever met (and I promise I’m not biased!) She is the best thing I’ve ever done. I’m so excited to finally give her the two parents that she deserves.

Jeremy is the cousin that has always been more like an older brother to me. We’ve been through a lot together, and he’s been one of the most steady influences in my life. Being a good kid growing up, Jeremy always showed me a good time and knew just the right amount of trouble to get us in while having a blast. Jeremy has a way of making me laugh when I need it most, and he’s someone I can trust with anything. He knows the best and worst of me, and still stands by my side. It means the world to me to have him here as my Best Man.

James is my uncle, but because we’re close in age, our relationship has always felt more like brothers. He’s one of the most reliable people I know and has always been there to support me. I wouldn’t want to celebrate this day without him.

Jerome has been my best friend since high school and is my longest friendship. We’ve shared a lot of adventures and good memories over the years. In high school we were basically brothers from another mother. It means a lot to have him standing with me on my wedding day.

DaJohn and I met working at Dillard’s about seven years ago, and our friendship has grown ever since. He’s the guy who listens when I need to talk, who sends me memes every day, keeping me laughing even on the toughest days. He has always shown up as a genuinely good friend. I’m glad he’s here with me today.
