Mr. Ginos Restaurant & Bar
We go on date nights here often. The Italian food is incredible, and the bar has a great ambiance, delicious drinks, pool tables and music. They have great steaks, seafood, pastas and wood-fired pizzas. Xavier loves the Tuscan Chicken with roasted baby red potatoes and Mia loves the Chicken Parmesan. Their buffalo wings are the BEST; we also love the bruschetta, chicken alfredo, tiramisu and the chocolate lava cake. By far, our favorite is the FLATBREAD PEPPERONI PIZZA with ARRABIATA SAUCE!! We go there just for this pizza. The evenings become lively in the bar after the restaurant closes. We have lots of fun here listening to music and dancing. The bartender is amazing and makes the best drinks. Try his version of the espresso martini!
The Outpost Bar
A great local bar with a chill, welcoming atmosphere. Yvette and CB are great and will make you feel at home. They have pool tables, slot machines, darts, music and giant Jenga sets. This is a local's favorite bar if you're into having a beer with your friends and shooting some pool. They don't serve food, but often have food trucks onsite. They have an interactive jukebox and the place gets lively at night if you're looking for a comfortable place to chill. Always a good time and lots of laughs!
JT's Steakhouse
A great upscale steakhouse inside the Copper Queen Casino. Terrill and Jess have done a great job with their new restaurant, and they grow all their beef locally on their family's ranch. Downstairs from the steakhouse is the Copper Queen's bar that is tucked away in the middle of the casino. They have great specialty cocktails and serve a bar menu from the steakhouse upstairs, in case you just wanted to catch a game, have a drink and still enjoy the delicious food from JT's. This is one of our faves! Their steaks are huge, and their sides are to die for. You have to try the alfredo mac and cheese, the loaded baked potatoes, loaded mashed, and their cheesecake. The bar burger is our new favorite, for sure!
Racks Bar and Grill
Rack's is a local sports bar and grill where you can catch a game and get a great burger, or some pulled pork nachos (among other awesome things on the menu). We love their wings, and they make pizza also. Mia spent lots of time bussing and waiting tables here. They have an outdoor patio for dining and a great selection of drinks and beer on tap. Dave takes care of his guests and will surely make sure you have a great experience here.
Margarita's Mexican Restaurant
Margarita's is located inside the Prospector Casino and has a great Mexican and American menu. They have indoor and outdoor dining; the outdoor patio is beautiful, and we love eating out there in the summer/fall months. They also open early and have great breakfast. We love their blackberry blended margaritas!
La Fiesta
Delicious Mexican food! La Fiesta has a small bar in the back of the restaurant where you can ask them to put on any game for you. They are open at 11:00am for breakfast/lunch and stay open until 9:00pm. They have awesome prices, and the hot salsa is the best. We love their carne asada and the pollo asada. Ben and his staff are great and they're quick!
Nevada Northern Railway Museum
If you've never been to Ely, you need to ride the Ghost Train. The historic railway still has an old steam engine running and is a big attraction to out of town guests. Visit the nnry website for time and price info.
Smashburger
Smashburger has awesome burgers and they're huge! They also serve a breakfast menu. Try the Spicy Smash, the Original Smash, or the Hot Hamburger (open faced burger on texas toast topped with mashed potatoes and gravy). We also love their philly cheesesteak sandwiches and wings.
