Our Story
We both started at Simpson University our freshman year. Even though we were on the same campus and both played sports, we didn’t connect right away. Mia had noticed Natalie early on (thanks to a Simpson retweet of Natalie’s Media Day photo), but it wasn’t until mutual friends brought us together that we finally met.
Our first real hangout was in Mia’s dorm room for a friend’s birthday celebration, and not long after, Mia sent Natalie her very first DM on February 6, 2017—a date we had no idea would later become our wedding day, nine years to the day.
After that, we stayed in touch but didn’t spend a ton of time together right away. It wasn’t until sophomore year, when Mia moved back to Redding, that everything shifted. From the first day back, we started hanging out every single day, and we’ve been inseparable ever since.
The rest is history, and we couldn’t imagine life any other way. <3
