Maid of Honor
My Maid of Honor and first ever sister! From the moment Bianca joined our family she became my go-to person for advice on all things growing up. She has a zest for life that makes everyone around her want to live a little bigger and love a little harder. Fiercely loyal, ambitious, and endlessly caring, Bianca leads by example and gives others permission to fully be themselves and embrace life wholeheartedly. When you see her, ask about our secret trips to Fresh Market.
Bridesmaid
My second sister! Anna and I met right as I was starting college, and we connected instantly through our shared sensitivity and way of seeing the world. Our conversations always seem to turn heartfelt in the best way. She’s endlessly creative, has the best sense of style, and carries herself with so much grace. And her hula? Truly the most beautiful I’ve ever seen. When you see her, ask if it’s socially acceptable to eat raw garlic at KBBQ.
Bridesmaid
Caley is my beautiful cousin and the closest thing I have to a little sister. We’ve spent countless hours together through tennis lessons, ice cream dates, and laying on the floor talking while I somehow forgot I was supposed to be cleaning my room. Getting to watch Caley grow up has been such a gift, and I can’t even begin to express how proud I am of the person she’s become. When you see her, ask about the car ride home from the Demon Slayer movie.
Bridesmaid
Ally is one of my longest standing friendships and the most patient and accepting person you’ll ever meet. She moves through life with a quiet kindness and zero judgment, making everyone around her feel safe to be themselves. She shares my humor which is good because we laughed our way through high school together. My only advice is to avoid any “hot yoga” class she invites you to. It was the hardest workout of my life… and somehow just a regular Tuesday for her. When you see her, ask about how we used to “study” for IB Bio.
Bridesmaid
Tiya and I met in middle school, instantly bonding over our strong opinions and endless curiosity. She is one of the most morally grounded people you will ever meet and deeply intentional in the way she moves through life. I experienced so many firsts and learned a lot about life alongside her. She’s also brilliant in a way you rarely come across. She’s a problem solver, a free thinker, and loyal beyond compare. When you see her, ask about her grandmother’s pickled lemons (I think).
Bridesmaid
Gabs was the first friend I made in college and the reason Max and I started dating. She takes care of the people she loves in a way that few are committed enough to do, while somehow also being absolutely hilarious. Tennis workouts and college chaos were infinitely more fun with her around. She inspires me to be authentic, try new things, and never take life too seriously. Also, if she ever mentions the Mexican rain dance or morning milkshakes… just know you’re in for a good story. When you see her, ask if her gas tank is filled.
Bridesmaid
Sarah and I met during the last few years of high school and immediately hit it off. She’s independent, hardworking, and a certified girl boss. She’s always the first one cheering on her people and goes the extra mile to celebrate her friends. When I think of Sarah, I think of effort. She pours so much into her friendships and always shows up for others. When you see her, ask about the latest updates on men’s tennis.
Bridesmaid
Teanna and I met during Max’s medical school, and I’m so thankful we did. She is endlessly kind and deeply considerate of others, always thinking carefully about how people feel. She’s motivated in the most grounded way, steadily building a life that genuinely brings her joy. She’s the kind of soul who deserves every good thing coming her way, and I feel lucky to have met her on this crazy journey. When you see her, ask about our secret stash system LOL.
Best Man
Having Kian standing with me during my wedding will add to what will be one of the greatest moments of my life. From holding him in the delivery room to watching him graduate college, I am so proud and grateful to have someone like Kian as my brother. Kian has always shown me how to be passionate and confident in choosing what makes you happy. There are no words that will ever be able to truly embody how much I love and care about him. When you see him, ask about what the rule was on how to be safe during our home WWE wrestling matches.
Groomsman
Neil is the closest thing I have to an older brother. I always looked forward to visiting New York because I knew that it meant that I could spend time with him. Hearing stories about his international travels and multicultural experiences really shaped how I began to see the world around me. When you see him, ask about what cousin Guitar hero games looked like or how we dominated cruise ship basketball games.
Groomsman
It is easy to have Pona’s back because I know he will always have mine. As soon as I started spending more time with him, it was so easy to recognize that his loyalty to his family, whether they’re family by blood or by choice, is strong and unwavering. I am grateful to gain another brother like him. When you see him, ask about all the foreign snacks I convinced him to try (some tastier than others).
Groomsman
When I think of what it means to embody thoughtfulness and selflessness, I think of Kana. I have been lucky enough to spend a majority of his adult years with him and I have always been impressed by his innate passion for justice and mutual kindness. I’m proud to officially become one of his brothers. When you see him, ask about how integral spam musubis were to our college success.
Groomsman
It is so hard not to like Sam. Whether it’s his great sense of humor or genuine kindness, he’s the type of person you instantly know will be a great person to have in your circle. I honestly have not met someone who has intelligence, sympathy, and a personality comparable to his. When you see him, ask about late night trips to the treat jar or how we managed running out of pesos in Havana, Cuba.
Groomsman
Cam is someone who embodies what it truly means to be empathetic. His ability to make people feel heard, whether it’s a stranger, a patient, or a friend, is second to none. When you see him, ask about all the extremely cool (and definitely not nerdy) activities we got up to in between studying for exams.
Groomsman
My favorite aspect of Max is his curiosity and willingness to explore. It is easy for a person to stay in their comfort zone, but I truly value the courage it takes to step outside of that. Whether it is exploring new hikes, new restaurants, or reading about new discoveries, Max always is ready to take that jump with me. When you see him, ask about where his phone happened to be during the Angel’s landing hike at Zion National Park
Groomsman
Niko was the first person I was able to get to know in medical school, and I am honestly so lucky for that. He always knows exactly how to act to ensure the people he cares about are comfortable, whether that means bringing the mood up with laughter or creating a space where quiet and calmness is acceptable. When you see him, ask about some of the chaos we endured in our first apartment together as medical students or his favorite dinner consisting solely of different types of onions.
