Leo and Mia first met one late summer at a seaside beach house, where the waves marked the beginning of their story. Leo was about to start his freshman year at UCSB, and Mia was finishing her last year of high school. It was truly love at first sight—and fast. Leo’s very first message to Mia was, “Hey cutie 😉,” and Mia was thrilled that an all-star water polo player like Leo had even noticed her. Young love at its finest! With Leo dedicated to water polo and Mia focused on applying to colleges, they spent the next four years navigating a long-distance relationship while in school. But their love was strong, and they always found ways to be together, whether it was train rides down to Orange County or rides with Leo’s mom to all of his games. Fast forward 8½ years, their journey has led them into a loving walk with Jesus Christ, honoring and supporting one another through many seasons in life, every step of the way. Surrounded by friends and family, Leo and Mia are overjoyed to celebrate their union and the life they are building together.
