We're Getting Married!

Our story all began in 2017 — the start of 7th grade. We met in science class, when Isai got moved to the seat next to me because he got in trouble for talking too much in class. At first, I thought he was just another nerdy boy, but little did I know, God had placed him there for a reason. We started making small jokes and funny comments in class that would catch each other off guard and make us laugh. Before we knew it, we became good classmate friends who couldn’t stop talking and laughing together. By March of 2018, those classroom moments turned into something more. We’d come home from school and immediately start texting, talking about anything and everything. Somewhere in those long conversations, we both began to develop a crush — though I tried to drop hints that I liked him, he didn’t quite catch on at first! Then, on May 2nd, 2018, Isai finally asked me to be his girlfriend over text. We were so excited to be each other’s “little” boyfriend and girlfriend. What started as a middle school friendship slowly blossomed into something deeper and more beautiful as we grew together throughout our teenage years. In the summer of 2022, life brought new challenges, and we decided it was best to take a break. It was a time of uncertainty. We didn’t know if our four-year relationship had run its course or if it was simply a pause for growth. But after three long weeks apart, we realized how much we missed and loved each other. Eventually, we found our way back to one another with hearts full of love and clarity. We both saw God’s hand in bringing us back together — His plan was greater than ours all along. Since then, our relationship has only grown stronger, rooted in faith, gratitude, and love. Today, we’re thankful for every season that led us here, ready to begin forever as husband and wife.
